A Grantham resident is appealing for old photographs of Albert Street taken before the original houses were demolished and replaced.
The reader's father was born at No 14 Albert Street in 1923. The original houses have since been knocked down and replaced with new houses and flats, and the properties have been renumbered. The reader's daughter now lives nearby and the family would like to show her where her grandfather's childhood home once stood.
Call for historical images
Anyone with photographs of Albert Street from before the rebuild is asked to get in touch. A photograph from 1990, taken during the construction of the new houses and flats, is available as reference to the period in question.
