CCTV installation work in the Grantham London Road and University Square area will begin mid-September, Grantham Town & District Councillor Charmaine Morgan has announced.
The cameras are intended to improve safety and help authorities catch people responsible for persistent flytipping on the public highway in the vicinity. Flytipping in the area has cost the council over £7,000 in additional waste collections.
Dysart Park CCTV Investigation
South Kesteven District Council is also investigating the viability of extending CCTV coverage to Dysart Park. Councillor Morgan said the council and Rotarians have invested in new equipment for the park, which neighbours residential properties.
Community Resources
Councillor Morgan reminded residents that defibrillators are available in Grantham's parks and that disabled shower and changing facilities are located in Wyndham Park.
