Army Reservists from 167 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) will hold recruitment displays at markets in Grantham and Stamford this month to attract new volunteers.
The Regiment, based at Prince William of Gloucester Barracks in Grantham, supports British Army operations worldwide. Teams will be at Grantham market on Saturday 19 September and Stamford market on Friday 25 September, positioned near the Market Cross in Grantham and on the High Street near the library in Stamford.
Roles and Opportunities
The Reservists are seeking volunteers for positions including Chefs, Communications Operators, Supply Specialists and Logistics Officers. The displays will showcase life as a Reservist, including career development, skills training and travel opportunities.
Army Reservists require a minimum of 19 days of annual duty. Benefits include NVQ-level trade qualifications, annual tax-free pay, a military rail card, driving qualifications and sports instruction skills. The role also offers opportunities for sport and adventure activities such as skiing and sailing.
Local Support
South Kesteven District Council Armed Forces Champion Cllr Bridget Ley said the council supports the military and welcomed the Regiment to the markets. She noted that joining the Reserves complements a civilian career and that employers recognise the benefits the experience brings.
