Belton Estate in Grantham is hosting guided walks throughout October to showcase the autumn deer rut, a natural display led by the estate's rangers.
The National Trust property at NG32 2LS is offering walks focused on the seasonal spectacle as part of a broader programme of autumn activities across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. Some guided walks will include photography guidance from professional photographer and volunteer ranger Jon Pear, allowing visitors to capture the deer rut on camera.
What's on offer at Belton
Beyond the October deer rut walks, Belton Estate is running monthly dog walks and an Influential Women of Belton walk around the gardens. A special Act of Remembrance Walk is scheduled for Sunday 8 November, featuring the military history of the area.
Visitors can also explore self-led walks to spot fungi in the grassy parkland, Old Wood and around the lakes. Wildlife spotting opportunities include fieldfares, redwings, water voles and otters.
