Two residential roads in Grantham are to undergo major resurfacing as part of Lincolnshire County Council's investment in the local highway network.
Park Road and Sandcliffe Road will benefit from carriageway resurfacing under the £250,000 scheme, which aims to provide road users with a smoother surface free from defects.
Road closures and access
Road closures will be required during the works, with local diversion routes signed and in place for motorists. As part of the Park Road scheme, a road closure will also be required at the northern end of Castlegate to help with the delivery of critical machines and materials to the site.
Resident access will be maintained throughout the programme, although some delays may be encountered while works are taking place. Traffic management staff will be on site to assist residents and advise motorists when required.
Local businesses have been informed about the works, and access arrangements have been agreed in advance.
Council statement
Cllr David East, executive member for highways, said: "This is another fine example of how we are continuing to invest in residential roads across the county, and this latest scheme in Grantham will deliver a noticeable improvement for the people who use these routes every day."
He added: "Our traffic management teams will be available throughout the scheme to help facilitate access where needed and minimise disruption as much as possible. We will complete the programme as quickly as possible."
