Students at West Grantham Church of England Secondary Academy collected their GCSE results on 20 August 2026, with the school reporting another year of strong outcomes across the cohort.
The academy said pupils made broadly above-average progress, with results reflecting their hard work, determination and commitment throughout their studies.
Top achievers
Srihari Manimaran gained 9s in chemistry, further maths, maths and physics, alongside distinctions in business studies and engineering. He also achieved 8s and 7s in biology, English and English literature. He will study A-levels in maths, further maths, economics and chemistry at The Kings School from September.
Kloe Riley and Mina Popescu both achieved the highest grades across all subjects. Mina will go on to study A-levels in psychology, sociology, politics and English literature at KGGS.
Hedwin Ajesh gained 9s and 8s in biology, chemistry, maths and physics, and will study chemistry, physics, maths and economics at The Kings School.
School performance
Notable improvements were made in English, history, hospitality and construction, showing the school is supporting learners across academic and vocational subjects.
Executive Principal Clare Barber said: "I am immensely proud of the Y11s and the impressive outcomes as a result of their hard work, resilience and determination." Barber also praised staff and parents and carers for their dedication to what she described as a "wonderful, all-inclusive school that continues to go from strength-to-strength."
