Six candidates will stand in the by-election for Grantham St Wulfram's Ward on South Kesteven District Council on Thursday 22 October.
The by-election was triggered by the resignation of independent councillor Tim Harrison in July. Mr Harrison cited personal reasons for stepping down from the district council.
The candidates
Following the close of nominations at 4pm on Friday 25 September, the Returning Officer Karen Bradford has published the statement of persons nominated. The six candidates are:
- Tim Galsworthy – Labour Party
- Wayne Andrew Hasnip – Independent
- Ben Lavender – Local Conservatives
- Andy McKinlay – Reform UK
- Marie Reid – Independent
- Ian Paul Simmons – Green Party
Polling stations
Voters in the ward will be able to cast their ballot at three locations:
- Cliffedale Primary School, Northcliffe Road, Grantham, NG31 8DP
- Manners Street Communal Room, Manners Street, Grantham, NG31 8AY
- Guildhall Arts Centre – Newton Room, St Peter's Hill, Grantham, NG31 6PY
Important dates
Residents must register to vote by midnight on Tuesday 6 October. Applications to vote by post must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 7 October. Applications to vote by proxy and for a Voter Authority Certificate must be submitted by 5pm on Wednesday 14 October.
Polling day is Thursday 22 October, with stations open from 7am to 10pm.
