Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was struck by a white BMW 3 series on Gonerby Hill Foot on Saturday 15 August 2026. The driver did not stop at the scene.
The incident occurred at approximately 10.45pm on the B1174 single carriageway heading towards Great Gonerby village. The cyclist, wearing a high visibility jacket and helmet with front and rear lights illuminated, was approaching the brow of the hill when the nearside wing mirror of the BMW struck them. The mirror became detached in the collision.
Vehicle details
The white BMW 3 series involved was travelling in the direction of the A1. The vehicle has black wing mirrors and is believed to be aged between 2008 to 2012.
The bicycle involved was a beige Carrera Crossland hybrid.
Appeal for witnesses
Roads Policing officers are seeking to identify the driver and locate the BMW. Anyone who was travelling in the area at the time, or who has captured relevant CCTV or doorbell footage, is urged to contact police.
