Grantham House is holding a second Christmas Market on Sunday 29 November from 10am to 4pm, following the success of last year's event which attracted over 1,700 visitors. The market will feature local traders selling Christmas gifts, with limited spaces still available for new traders. Applications can be made by emailing grantham@nationaltrust.org.uk.
The market takes place on the same day as Grantham Christmas Fayre and Lights Switch-On and the Christmas Tree Festival at the neighbouring St. Wulfram's Church.
Theatre and Performance
Grantham House's winter programme begins on Wednesday 18 November with a one-man production of Dracula, performed by Don't Go Into The Cellar! Theatre Company in the historic main hall.
On Friday 4 December, a one-woman play called From Chawton will be performed by Beckis Cooper. The production features characters from Jane Austen's novels, including Mrs Elton, Mr Collins, and Lydia Bennett.
Circus Starlight
A big top will be installed in the gardens from Saturday 19 December for Circus Starlight's Christmas Circus. The show features aerial acts, acrobatics, comedy, juggling, and performances from both adult professionals and members of the company's Young Performers Project, which is funded by Arts Council England.
Year-Round Facilities
Grantham House offers free entry to its gardens, tearoom, and second-hand book shop throughout the year. The property is currently open from 10am to 4pm, Wednesday to Sunday. Tickets for theatre shows and the circus can be booked at nationaltrust.org.uk/Grantham, where full details of all events are available.
